Glow up Journey - life gave me some lemons !

I’m an emerging, self-taught artist who found abstract art during one of the most challenging times of my life. A few years ago, I experienced a mental breakdown, and in the midst of it, I turned to art—not because I wanted to, but because I had to. Painting became a lifeline, a way to silence the chaos and focus on creating. For a year, I painted every single day, letting my emotions pour onto the canvas.

Now, I paint because I want to. I paint because I love it. My art has brought me immense healing and joy, and it’s time to share that with others.

I work with a variety of materials, using everything I can get my hands on—paintbrushes, spatulas, sticks, and more. My creations often feature mixed media and collage papers, including everyday found items like Who Gives a Crap toilet paper wrappers, cardboard, and vintage sewing patterns. I’m passionate about recycling and often mount my art in vintage frames to give new life to old materials.

I didn’t go to art school, but I’ve discovered that abstract art is where my heart lies. It’s a medium that allows me to express myself freely and explore the boundaries of creativity. I’ll be honest—parting with my pieces is hard. I love having them on my walls and looking at them every day. But I know it’s time to let them out into the world and share the joy they’ve given me with others.

Welcome to my art journey—I hope my work brings you as much happiness as it has brought me.
